After two years of hard work, my first
textbook is now complete and it would not have been possible without the help
of some very special people. First, I would especially like to thank Dr.
Peri Colino for the actual writing of the book and Dr. Juan Llull for the
English version translation. Next, I
would like to thank Dr. Luis Carriere and my late friend Dr. Tiziano
Baccetti for allowing us to use their research in the book. Also, I would like to thank Dr. Bart Alink
from Gronau, Germany and Dr. Winston Au from Edmonton, Canada for use of in
office clinical research.
Dr. B. H. Coco Garcia
Dr "Coco" Garcia would like to recognize Castellana Sports Club in Madrid, Spain as his favorite fitness club. No matter where he travels around the world CSC stands out as the best.
ISWOS Discontinuing Courses in Germany
International Straight Wire & Orthopedic Seminars will be discontinuing all courses in Germany effective March 10, 2014. Due to unfortunate circumstances we regretfully make this decision after 17 years of service in Germany.
The teaching center in Gronau will remain private under Dr. Bart Alink and Dr. Garcia. For information contact ISWOS USA directly. 262-392-9465
All ISWOS courses in Canada, Spain and Poland are not affected by this change and will be held as planned.
Dr. Garcia feels that clinicians must become proficient in the use of functional appliances as well as fixed appliances in the mixed dentition, so that many of the orthodontic problems may be prevented or eliminated. Diagnosis is the key to success.
Intensive research has shown that functional appliances can be very effective in improving the functional and skeletal problems when utilized in the mixed dentition in growing patients. The utilization of these appliances can also help develop the dental arches and thus reduce the necessity for extraction of permanent teeth.
Dr. Garcia’s program will stress proper records and the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic problems in the mixed dentition utilizing both functional and fixed appliances. He has developed a nonsurgical approach in adult Class III with great success and Class II adults with ARS and Twin Block modified by Dr. Gene Williamson, Dr. Duane Grummons and Dr. William Clark.
With his experience in trouble shooting cases, he will help doctors resolve most clinical problems and treatment concerns.
You should always treat patients with the highest standards. There are NO SHORTCUTS NOR EASY WAY IN ORTHODONTICS. ORTHODONTICS IS A SPECIALTY AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH.
Our ultimate goal is to teach the highest quality of service to you for your patients. One of the greatest advantages that course participants report is that Dr. Garcia continues to personally mentor all participants during and long after the sessions. Endorsements Our programs are endorsed by:
